NPL Teddington Cricket Club is based in the grounds of the National Physical Laboratory, backing on to Bushy Park, Teddington. The ground is tree-lined and totally enclosed with plenty of space for families to watch and play.
CRICKET
The 1st XI are currently playing in Division 2 of the Morrant Thames Valley League with the 2nd and 3rd XIs playing in lower divisions. The league season runs from May to early September. In addition, the 4th XI play non-league matches against local sides, where we look to introduce Colts into senior cricket. In 2007, 13 of our Colts played in senior cricket
On Sunday the club plays in the Bushy Park League against local clubs and put out a friendly side when not involved in competition.
The club has a long-standing tour to Somerset in late July, and will for the first time host a 20-20 inter-club match on June 29th as well as regularly hosting county Colts' fixtures at the ground, and holding colts' club finals at Queen's Road.
COLTS
Coaching and Training for Colts takes place from Sundays from April 13th, 2008 until July 27th, 2008 starting at 10am at our Queen's Road ground. We are running sides at U9, U10, U11, U12, U13, U14 and U15 levels for the 2008 season, but welcome players from the age of 7, and will also be running 2 week-long Cricket Camps in the weeks of July 21st-25th and Aug 18th-22nd aimed at those age groups during the Summer Holidays. Please note that we are oversubscribed at U10 and U11 age groups, and are unable to accept any more children. PLAYING FACILITIES
The club has 2 playing squares with a recently rebuilt clubhouse, and adjoining changing rooms which are due for renovation in the near future. The club also has use of a 3rd square in Teddington. A 2 lane net facility and an artificial wicket for the 2nd X1 square are now installed and in regular use.
OTHER FACILITIES
Facilities on site include tennis courts, a bowling green, five-a-side football pitch, and a full–size snooker table. The bar offers a range of real ales and food, and a committee room and function room for parties.
The club is part of the NPL Sports Club which also has tennis, senior and junior football, hockey, bowls and other sections, and hosts various events including Fireworks Night display, Summer Ball, and a Summer Carnival
